Our client is a full-service real estate firm with more than 50 attorneys and a long-standing presence in New York City. The firm is recognized for its leadership in the real estate community and has achieved landmark victories that have influenced real estate legislation. Its bankruptcy practice focuses on protecting property owners and creditors when tenants file Chapter 7, 11, or 13 petitions, handling claims, stay relief, lease assumptions/rejections, and related adversarial proceedings.

Key Duties:
- Prepare and litigate monetary claims for rents and additional charges in bankruptcy cases
- Prosecute motions to vacate the automatic stay
- Negotiate lease assumptions, rejections, and assignments
- Handle adversarial proceedings arising in bankruptcy
- Attend creditors’ meetings and coordinate enforcement and collection actions related to bankrupt tenants
Requirements:
- JD and active New York bar
- Bankruptcy experience (preferably representing creditors or property owners) or strong related litigation background
- Solid drafting and court skills
