About This Role
This Athletic Trainer position contributes to the smooth operation of the business by attending to clinical tasks and patient care. The role involves preparing examination rooms, obtaining patient vitals, and assisting physicians. Responsibilities
- Prepare examination rooms
- Obtain patient vitals
- Document chief complaint and medical history
- Assist physician with exam when necessary
- Educate on injuries, injury prevention, and exercises
- Perform testing and procedures as needed
- Complete patient chart, lab slips, and prepare prescription slips
- Clean and properly dispose of clinical supplies
- Clean patient care areas including restrooms and breakroom
- Call patient from waiting room
- Prepare the patient's chart for the physician
- Prepare sample medications when necessary
- Prepare lab slips and prescription orders
- Review medications and course of treatment with patient
- Complete and timely entry of patient information into EMR
- Perform filing, faxing, copying, and scanning as needed
- Clean, restock, and properly dispose of equipment and clinical supplies
- Assist in meeting the goals set forth by CMO
- Perform other duties as assigned by members of the CMO Management Staff

- Ability to understand and work well in a fast-paced and often stressful environment
- Demonstrate concern and empathy, providing personal patient care while acknowledging physiological and psychological needs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, allowing education and interaction with patients in a courteous and respectful manner
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
- 1 year of Athletic Trainer experience (Required)
- 1 year of computer experience (Required)
- Relocate to Mount Pleasant, MI 48858 before starting work (Required)
