About the role
Your Purpose As the Assistant Technical Inventory Officer aboard our world-class cruise vessels, you play a vital role in ensuring seamless operations behind the scenes. From the hum of the engine room to the storerooms below deck, your meticulous nature and technical know-how keep everything running smoothly. You’ll be working alongside our Technical Inventory Officer to manage critical components, monitor stock levels, and maintain accuracy through the AMOS system.
Your Impact Your role is essential in safeguarding the ship’s technical readiness. From auditing and tracking inventory to ensuring the integrity and cleanliness of storerooms, your diligence contributes directly to the vessel’s performance and compliance. Through your coordination, technical supplies are always at hand, breakdowns are minimized, and our commitment to excellence is upheld. You are the trusted eyes and hands supporting the Chief Engineer, helping to prevent loss, reduce waste, and optimize supply chains onboard.
Your Journey So Far We Are Looking For Someone Who Has
- Proven experience in the same or similar position aboard cruise ships
- Strong working knowledge of the AMOS inventory system and maritime logistics.
- Previous responsibility for stock control, technical consumables, and spare. parts
- Experience handling slow-moving goods and managing inventory turnover.
- Familiarity with marine engine room components and technical equipment.
- Background in auditing and implementing stock-level checks.
- Fluent English communication skills for written reports and technical documentation.
- Ability to speak, read and write in Italian is a major benefit.
Your Essentials To succeed in this role, you should bring:
- Formal qualifications or certifications relevant to inventory control or maritime logistics
- Solid understanding of marine engineering components and systems
- Computer literacy, particularly with AMOS or similar technical inventory platforms
- Ability to produce professional documentation for shipboard and shore-based communication
- A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to teamwork, shipboard safety standards, and environmental compliance
