Associate - Property Litigation

About This Role

This Associate position in Property Litigation offers the chance to work with a friendly, supportive team on a varied range of high-quality cases that make a positive difference to clients. The role suits a candidate with property litigation experience who is keen for longer-term development within the firm.

Responsibilities

• Handle current cases including court action to remove 'bed blockers' for NHS trusts
• Remove squatters from central London properties with IPO for charities
• Manage court proceedings and arbitrations involving GP partnership disputes
• Work on multi-million pound dilapidations disputes
• Provide strategic advice on MEES and Net Zero obligations across the NHS estate
• Issue break notices to facilitate estate re-organisation
• Conduct judicial review of planning decisions for staff accommodation development
• Advise on restrictive covenants and easements for site disposals
• Manage 1954 Act security of tenure and lease renewals
• Collaborate with knowledgeable colleagues in other teams
• Work in all the firm’s sectors: health, housing, primary care, Local Authority and emergency services
• Deliver clear advice and practical recommendations to clients

Requirements

• Property litigation experience
• Excellent legal and communication skills
• Enthusiasm for the firm’s and clients’ work
