About This Role
The Associate Professor of Biotechnology delivers high-quality teaching and impactful research within Rama University's Department of Biotechnology. This role involves academic leadership, curriculum development, student mentorship, and laboratory management, making it suitable for a dedicated academician committed to excellence in education and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Biotechnology and allied subjects
- Develop and update course curriculum in accordance with UGC/NEP and university guidelines
- Mentor students in academic projects, internships, dissertations, and research activities
- Establish and maintain advanced biotechnology laboratories while ensuring laboratory safety and compliance
- Guide research scholars (Ph.D./M.Sc.) and supervise research projects
- Publish research papers in reputed SCI/Scopus-indexed journals and actively pursue patents, funded research projects, and consultancy
- Collaborate with industries, research organizations, and academic institutions for joint research and training initiatives
- Participate in accreditation processes (NAAC, NBA), curriculum development, and departmental administration
- Organize FDPs, workshops, seminars, conferences, and outreach programs
- Contribute to examination duties, admissions, student counseling, and other institutional responsibilities
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Biotechnology or a relevant specialization from a recognized university
- Minimum 8 years of teaching/research/industry experience after Ph.D., as per UGC/AICTE norms
- Demonstrated research excellence with quality publications in peer-reviewed/SCI/Scopus-indexed journals

- Experience in guiding postgraduate students and research scholars
- Funded research projects, patents, consultancy, or industry collaborations
