A rapidly growing consumer apparel brand is seeking an Associate Product Developer to support the development of innovative apparel products from concept through production. About the Role

We are seeking an Associate Product Developer to support the development process from concept through production. This role is based in Hollywood, CA and follows a hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite each week. The position partners closely with Design, Merchandising, Sourcing, and Production teams to ensure products are delivered on time, meet quality standards, and align with business objectives. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the product development lifecycle from design handoff through final production approval.
  • Manage sample tracking, development updates, and key milestone deadlines.
  • Assist with fabric, trim, and raw material sourcing across various product categories.
  • Collaborate with sourcing and vendor partners to support new product and supplier development.
  • Communicate with overseas manufacturers regarding samples, revisions, approvals, and development updates.
  • Attend fit sessions, document feedback, and track product changes.
  • Support costing initiatives and assist with product readiness for production.
  • Maintain organized development records, sample libraries, and product documentation.
  • Track lab dip, strike-off, and material approval processes.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure development calendars and deadlines are met.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in apparel product development.
  • Experience working with overseas vendors and manufacturing partners.
  • Strong understanding of apparel construction, fabrics, trims, and garment development processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with PLM systems is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and highly collaborative approach.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with children's apparel, sleepwear, or related apparel categories.
  • Experience supporting licensed product development programs.
  • Familiarity with vendor onboarding and supplier management processes.
  • Bilingual in Mandarin or Vietnamese is a plus.

Pay Range

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 DOE.
