Responsible for developing and presenting annual merchandise financial plans and seasonal Open to Buy; forecasting business based on changes in strategies or business climate and managing inventory to support updated forecasts.
- Assist in developing sales and receipt plans, ensuring alignment with target budgets, LRP targets, and overall objectives.
- Support the development of receipt flow targets by Label for the Buying team and recommend in-season delivery adjustments based on business trends and performance.
- Participate in Business Reviews and Forecast Meetings.
- Participate in preseason merchandising meetings and workshops to gain an understanding of merchandise strategy, fashion flow, and range selection, as applicable.
- Determine target class penetration mixes and initial seasonal projections, and contribute to Scorecard development through style-selling analysis and market insights.
- Maintain door profiles and volume cluster rankings that reflect the needs of each region.
- Manage Evergreen products, including order placement, sales trend monitoring, and inventory management.
- Develop an understanding of key competitors and evaluate the effectiveness of assortments in the marketplace.
- Communicate relevant insights and learnings to the Buying team to support assortment optimization.
- Review key business reports to assess assortment planning effectiveness, including sell-through analysis, sales-to-stock performance, concept selling, and other relevant metrics.
Requirements:
- Degree holder in Textile, Merchandising, Retail or related discipline
- 1 to 3 years planning / merchandising related experience.
- Strong computer skills including Excel, Word and merchandise planning system
- Ability to leverage AI tools and data-driven technologies to enhance planning efficiency, generate business insights, and support decision-making.
- Experience in fashion apparel industry preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and presentations skills on financial information and business strategies
