Role Summary

We are looking for a Reliability & Safety Engineer to support in-service performance monitoring, reliability analysis, field failure assessment, and design improvement activities. The role involves analyzing field and warranty data, identifying reliability and safety risks, supporting retrofit and product upgrade opportunities, and contributing to continuous process improvements across NPI and sustaining engineering programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and report the in-service performance of aerospace products using field performance and failure data.
  • Analyze field/warranty data to identify failure trends, reliability risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Identify potential retrofit modifications and product upgrade opportunities based on field failure analysis.
  • Support the development and acceptance of improvement opportunities as formal engineering projects.
  • Perform reliability and statistical analysis to assess component failure rates and product performance.
  • Support FRACAS activities and convert field/warranty data into meaningful life and failure-rate information.
  • Deliver work packages across multiple New Product Introduction (NPI) and Sustaining Engineering (SE) product lines while meeting project schedules.
  • Identify and recommend design improvements to mitigate reliability and safety risks and optimize product performance.
  • Drive continuous process improvements using Lean methodologies to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, quality, and cross-functional teams to implement reliability and safety improvements.
  • Prepare technical reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate reliability and performance insights.

Must-Have Skills

  • 2?3 years of experience in Reliability Engineering, Data Analytics, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with Power BI, OBI EE, Python, or R.
  • Strong understanding of reliability statistics and statistical data analysis.
  • Experience in developing and analyzing component failure rates.
  • Knowledge of FRACAS and failure-data analysis.
  • Ability to analyze field/warranty data and derive life and failure-rate information.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
  • Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Experience working with warranty data or reliability engineering.
  • Knowledge of aerospace reliability and safety practices.
  • Awareness of reliability standards such as:
    • NPRD-95
    • FMD-97
    • MIL-HDBK-217F
  • Experience with Lean methodologies and process improvement.
  • Exposure to NPI and Sustaining Engineering environments.
  • Understanding of product reliability, safety risk mitigation, and design optimization.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, or a related engineering discipline
