Assisted Living Caregiver

Job Summary

In this vital role, you will assist residents with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment. Duties

• Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support to residents with diverse needs.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as toileting, feeding, and medication reminders in accordance with care plans.
• Monitor residents’ vital signs and health status, reporting any changes or concerns to Administrator and/or nursing staff promptly.
• Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care, utilizing specialized techniques to ensure safety and comfort.
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks tailored to individual dietary requirements, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
• Engage residents in social activities and group programs to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.

Requirements

• Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s disease, dementia care, and memory care strategies. with completion of Alzheimer’s 2-hour course.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is required.
• Level II background check.
• TB test (PPD or Chest X-ray)
• Health statement (within 6 months)
• HIV/AIDS/OSHA course
• Assistance with Self-Administration of Medication course

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 48.0 per week

• Assisted living: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Caregiver Certification (Preferred)
