Assisted Living Caregiver

About This Role

Serving as an Assisted Living Caregiver involves providing essential support to individuals at Alton’s Haven Home, focusing on attentive care, professionalism, and kindness. This role is ideal for a compassionate and dependable individual committed to improving the quality of life of residents. Previous caregiving or healthcare experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
• Monitor and report any changes in residents’ condition or health status
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Administer medications as directed and follow care plans
• Assist with mobility, transportation, and appointments as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment
• Perform light housekeeping duties
• Work closely with family members and healthcare professionals to support resident care

Requirements

• Prior caregiving, assisted living, home health, or healthcare experience preferred
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable attitude
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle sensitive situations professionally
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Basic knowledge of caregiving techniques is a plus

Important Details

• Employment type: Part-time, Full-time, PRN, Per diem
• Schedule: 36 hours per week; current priority shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; additional shifts may become available based on scheduling needs
