About This Role
This role as an Assistant Wedding Coordinator involves helping to create memorable wedding experiences. You will support the lead wedding coordinator in planning and executing events, ensuring smooth operations from beginning to end. The role suits an enthusiastic and organized individual with excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating all elements of wedding events, including venue setup, vendor communication, and guest management
- Support the lead coordinator in managing event timelines, budgets, and logistics to ensure seamless execution
- Engage with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and specific needs, providing expert guidance and solutions
- Negotiate with vendors and service providers to secure the best options within budget constraints while upselling additional services when appropriate
- Utilize event management software and CRM systems to track client details, schedules, and vendor contacts efficiently
- Oversee guest services during events, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and addressing any issues promptly
- Collaborate with team members to implement marketing strategies that promote upcoming weddings and special packages
Requirements
- Proven experience in event planning or hospitality industry roles, preferably within weddings or large-scale events
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for planning documents and presentations
- Familiarity with event management software and CRM systems to streamline operations and client communication
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets effectively and handle negotiations confidently
- Excellent communication skills with a knack for customer service and client interaction
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines
