About the role
The University of Utah is seeking an Assistant Swimming Coach for its men’s and women’s swimming program. This position will assist with coaching, recruiting, student-athlete development, and program operations.
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead swim workouts.
- Provide technical instruction and coach at competitions.
- Evaluate swimmer performance and provide feedback.
- Recruit qualified prospective student-athletes.
- Support student-athlete well-being, academic success, and personal development.
- Assist with team travel, equipment, meet operations, and administrative duties.
- Follow all University, conference, and NCAA rules.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Head Coach.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
- Several years of competitive swimming coaching experience.
- Strong knowledge of swimming technique, training, and competition preparation.
- Effective communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
Preferences
- Master’s degree.
- Experience coaching elite-level swimmers.
- Collegiate recruiting experience.
