Assistant Store Manager

About This Role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily retail store operations, ensuring high customer satisfaction and achieving sales goals. This role involves managing staff, executing daily operational tasks, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The Assistant Store Manager is also responsible for the recruitment and training activities of new employees.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in daily operations and staff management
• Help with store merchandising, shelf stocking, and boxing and unboxing daily shipments
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues
• Train, coach, and develop employees
• Perform cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed
• Assign tasks to the team
• Ensure store safety and cleanliness standards are maintained
• Conduct managers on duty tasks, ensuring daily breaks, time, and attendance are taken
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Implement and maintain visual merchandising standards based on company strategy
• Be responsible for the hiring and performance management process

Requirements

• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the retail industry
• At least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role
• Open availability required (day, evening, weekend)
• Ability to efficiently organize time and manage priorities
• Good leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and high-volume environment
• 1 year of supervisor experience (required)
• 1 year of retail experience (required)
