Assistant Store Manager

About This Role

An Assistant Store Manager helps the Store Manager to ensure the store meets its sales and profit targets by focusing on team performance, customer satisfaction, and staff development. This role involves developing team members' skills and product knowledge through training, participating in recruitment, and enforcing company policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in maintaining daily focus on individual and team members' standards achievement to attain sales and profit projections
• Contribute to an atmosphere of total customer satisfaction
• Develop skills and product knowledge of team members through training and evaluation
• Recruit and select team members
• Follow and enforce all company policies and procedures
• Perform other operational and strategic duties

Requirements

• At least one year of retail experience, preferably with a jeweler or specialty retailer
• Knowledge of operating POS terminals and scanners, using basic computer software and hardware
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, and schedule form
• Availability to work days, nights and weekends
