Assistant Shop Manager

About This Role

An Assistant Shop Manager at Take 5 Oil Change delivers fast oil changes and provides top-notch customer service, while learning leadership skills to prepare for a Shop Manager role. This position suits a people person with a passion for cars and a drive to grow with a company that values potential.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes, filter replacements, fluid top-offs, coolant exchanges, and differential services with speed and precision
• Wash windshields, check tire pressure, and help customers choose the right oil and services
• Process payments and ensure every customer leaves happy with a great experience
• Maintain a clean shop, restock inventory, and keep the office and bathroom spotless
• Oversee the store when the Shop Manager is away, including opening/closing procedures and inventory checks
• Be a role model for the team with a positive attitude and strong work ethic, without the stress of hiring or firing decisions

Requirements

• High-energy, outgoing team player with a customer-focused mindset
• Comfort maneuvering in a 3’ deep pit to work safely under cars and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, and work in hot/cold weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and awareness of your surroundings
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
