Responsibilities
The University of Pittsburgh’s Swanson School of Engineering seeks an Assistant Professor—Industrial Engineering in Pittsburgh, PA, to teach a variety of core industrial engineering courses. Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and teaching Graduate and Undergraduate courses in multiple core industrial engineering areas, including, but not limited to, engineering management, supply chain, productivity analysis, and facility layout.
- Advising students and collaborating with industry partners to ensure the relevance and quality of the curriculum.
- Overseeing the department’s Supply Chain Certificate program.
Qualifications
Must have a PhD (or foreign equivalent degree) in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
Must also have experience with:
- Teaching university-level courses in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or closely related supply chain subjects.
- Developing, organizing, and delivering instructional materials, including syllabi, course modules, and assessments aligned with program learning outcomes.
Must also have:
- Five (5) peer-reviewed journal articles.
- Three (3) peer-reviewed conference papers.
Experience can be concurrent.
