Position Details
Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job
Successful applicants are expected to 1) have an active research agenda that includes a strong publication record; 2) demonstrate the potential to secure external research funding; 3) teach core courses in the Department’s academic degree programs; and 4) demonstrate a commitment to mentoring students.
Educational Requirements for the Position
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a closely related academic field.
Experience Required for the Position
Areas of specialization are open, but preference will be given to candidates with research expertise in policing or juvenile justice and delinquency.
Other Requirements for the Position
The faculty positions will be on-site with in-person teaching expectations and research expectations that are consistent with a high-ranking doctoral degree granting department within an R2 university.
