About the role
The Philadelphia VA Medical Center (PVAMC) and the Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of addiction genetics, chronic pain, structural equation modeling and similar multivariate statistics. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree. Psychology licensure is required.
Teaching responsibilities may include providing lectures to psychiatric residents and research mentoring to undergraduate, medical and graduate students.
Clinical responsibilities may include providing clinical care at the Philadelphia VAMC to patients with substance use disorders.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include building an independent research program in the genetics of substance use, pain traits, a comorbid psychiatric conditions.
Demonstrated success in obtaining extramural research funding is preferred.
