The College of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Florida State University is a vibrant academic community which fosters an environment of collaborative research and intellectual stimulation among its faculty and students. The College invites applications for assistant professor positions to begin Fall 2027. The areas of specialization are open.
Responsibilities
- Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate administrator of a state university
- Responsible for teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities
- Responsible for academic advising and related activities
- May represent the university, college/school, or department/unit on university and/or Statewide committees
Qualifications
Applicants must have demonstrated effectiveness in research and teaching. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Criminology and Criminal Justice or a related field (such as sociology, psychology, or public policy). ABD candidates who anticipate degree completion no later than August 2027 will also be considered. A Juris Doctorate alone is not sufficient for consideration.
