The Role
- An exciting opportunity has arisen within the NHS Lanarkshire Trauma and Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Team for a Band 4 Generic Assistant Practitioner. The successful candidate will be contracted to work one Saturday every four weeks as part of a rolling rota, with additional opportunities to undertake extra shifts to provide cover for annual leave and sickness absence.
- Based at University Hospital Wishaw, this role offers the chance to join a dynamic and supportive Allied Health Professional team delivering high‑quality care within a fast‑paced Trauma and Orthopaedic service.
In This Key Role, You Will
- Responsible for a delegated clinical caseload of patients whose treatment follows clearly defined parameters.
- Assess, implement, progress treatment and discharge in accordance with agreed protocols and parameters.
- Plan and prioritise delegated patient caseload.
- Plan and organise a range of therapeutic activities/clinics
What You'll Bring
- HNC in healthcare, education or social cares or SVQ III in healthcare, education or social care or equivalent experience in a health, education or social care environment.
- Short specialist courses relevant to specific clinical area.
- Awareness of health legislation relevant to the clinical area.
- Knowledge of the therapeutic process, techniques and / or activities relevant to client group.
- A driving licence is required; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
