Assistant Operations Manager

About This Role

This leadership position is a hands-on role in the airport, leading and driving daily floor operations for security, customer service, and sales. The Assistant Operations Manager will be part of the airport leadership team, reporting to the General Manager.

Responsibilities

• Spend 80% of time on the floor in a customer-facing environment at the airport
• Ensure CLEAR and TSA policy and procedures are conducted with the highest levels of security and integrity
• Monitor and drive security, service, and sales on each shift
• Manage shift briefings, debriefs, and huddles, as well as any changes, breaks, and rotations
• Coach, mentor, and train the team to meet sales and customer service goals and standards
• Oversee asset control and devices - understand how our technology works and be able to troubleshoot when necessary
• Represent CLEAR throughout the airport, TSA, and airline community by building strong stakeholder relationships
• Manage incident prevention and responses
• Attend station management team meetings

Requirements

• 1-2 years of leadership experience in a customer-facing operation (i.e. retail, restaurants, hospitality, rental cars)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and influence others
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in an ever-changing environment
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks
• Proficiency in using technology daily in your work
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to follow policies and procedures set forth by CLEAR, airport, state, and federal regulations
• Availability to work a non-traditional schedule (i.e. weekends, holidays, early mornings, and/or evenings)
• Completion of all required airport and government security screening processes, including SIDA badge eligibility. This may also include federal Personnel Security (PerSec) SF-85 screening, depending on your work assignment.
• Ability to frequently lift and move luggage weighing up to 50 pounds and push occupied wheelchairs for extended distances within the airport
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform other physical tasks associated with assisting customers in an airport setting
