About the role
Role Overview: The Clinical Assistant Manager advocates for safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care by assisting in personnel management, budgeting, strategic planning, and regulatory compliance. They collaborate with the Clinical Manager to improve patient outcomes, ensure staff competency, and foster a professional, ethical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support administrative and operational leadership, including staff development, performance evaluations, and participation in councils and projects.
- Assist in staffing, resource allocation, and implementing patient care models that optimize productivity while respecting diversity and patient preferences.
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment; coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams; ensure regulatory standards are met.
- Participate in performance improvement, data analysis, and quality initiatives; communicate effectively with staff, physicians, and management.
- Manage unit finances by identifying resource needs and balancing patient care quality with cost efficiency.
- Promote professional growth for staff through education, certifications, and community engagement.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Minimum two years of clinical nursing experience; leadership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of nursing practices, performance improvement, healthcare standards (e.g., JCAHO), and organizational systems.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Current RN licensure; specialty certification within six months; BLS certification required.
