De scription de poste :
This role will support the Senior Director and Managers of Portfolio Operations primarily in order processing, valuations, reconciliations, reporting, stakeholder management and other relevant operations to support investment mandate and fund platform.
The incumbent will also provide support to day to day portfolio operations across assets invested and held in the region’s general accounts, investment linked products and mutual funds, work closely with the function’s external service providers, and collaborate with counterparts from corporate, and other relevant teams under Asia business units ("BUs").
Major Accountabilities
Fund Operations and Reporting
- Perform daily oversight and reconciliation on fund NAV
- Perform oversight on fund service providers on fund admin and TA activities
- Manage fund reporting and annual audit
- Support fund launch tasks as needed
Mandate Portfolio Valuation and Reconciliation
- Production of daily portfolio valuation
- Recording of stock and cash transactions and reconciliation of positions between accounting books and custodian records/trading system record
- Application of relevant regulatory and financial accounting standards in respect of the accounting of the investments
Portfolio Reporting
- Portfolio financial and tax reporting
- Timely and accurate provisioning of portfolio accounting data for Investment and Business stakeholders, including but not limited to AUM reporting, performance attributions, profitability analysis, expenses reporting, etc.
Controls and Oversight
- Perform oversight and service monitoring on the outsourced service providers against SLAs
- Ensure that all processes, procedures, controls and other documentations are kept up to date and drafted in a clear and concise manner
- Continuous assessment of operational processes, to identify inefficiencies or potential risks and deliver improvements to address these
- Provide prompt and accurate responses to Portfolio accounting related queries and requests from internal and external Stakeholders
- Provide management reporting and KPIs for the function
Specialized Knowledge, Problem Solving and Influence
- Knowledge of general fund valuation, investment accounting processes and practices is required. Experience with Cayman SPC structure will be beneficial.
- Good awareness of latest development in regulations, accounting standards and industry practices
- Proven ability to analyze, resolve report incidents / issues efficiently and flexibly
- Working with service providers that are not delivering what is being asked for
- BUs having different processes and requirements that are not easy to standardize
- Moving parts as we are establishing a new regional function
- This role will be expected to collaborate and engage with difference BUs, particularly the finance function
- This role is expected to support initiatives and projects associated with Portfolio Operations and may be required to influence impacted stakeholder to embrace changes
Qualifications & Experience
- University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or other related disciplines
- 4+ years of work experience in fund administration / investment accounting functions, with exposure across mutual funds and mandates, either from buy-side or service provider
- Full proficient working knowledge in asset management, valuation and fund administration processes, fund platform / products, client and regulatory reporting standards, etc.
- Full proficient working knowledge in common applications for investment accounting, valuation, reconciliation, and reporting
- Excellent communication and stakeholders management skills, and being able to bridge between portfolio managers / traders and operation staffs
- Strong client service orientation with “can-do” attitude
- Excellent command of English
