About the role
A leading building materials company is seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 2 years of experience, having experience in Financial accounting & reporting, Experience in Manufacturing Industries, exposure to Capital Expenditure (Capex) and Fixed Assets Accounting.
Financial Accounting & Reporting
Manage end-to-end book closure activities on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Ensure accurate accounting of all financial transactions in compliance with Ind AS.
Prepare and review MIS reports. Conduct GL scrutiny, ledger reconciliation, and balance sheet schedule review.
Ensure timely provisioning, accruals, prepayments, and reversal entries.
Accounts Payable / Receivable
Oversee vendor accounting processes. Review invoice accounting, payment controls, and reconciliation of vendor ledgers. Monitor ageing reports and ensure timely closure of outstanding items.
Capex Accounting
Handle capitalization of assets, CWIP monitoring, and depreciation accounting. Review capital expenditure approvals, project-wise accounting, and asset tagging. Ensure compliance with accounting treatment related to fixed assets and capex spend. Support project teams in capitalization timelines and documentation.
Compliance & Audit
Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act, and other statutory requirements. Coordinate with internal auditors, statutory auditors, and tax consultants. Support audit schedules, data preparation, and closure of audit observations.
Controls & Process Improvement
Strengthen internal controls over accounting and reporting. Identify automation opportunities and improve finance processes. Coordinate with cross-functional teams for smooth transaction flow
Key Requirements:
• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in Capex and asset accounting
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards
• Experience in manufacturing / plant environment
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP S4 HANA preferred)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and stakeholder management abilities
Preferred Skills:
• Experience in large-scale plant or project accounting
• Exposure to asset lifecycle management
• Knowledge of internal controls and audit processes
