We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Manager to join our retail team! Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory control, and cash handling.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of team members to build a high-performing sales team.
- Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Oversee sales management activities such as pricing strategies, merchandising, stock replenishment, and promotional displays.
- Supervise staff scheduling, shift management, and task delegation to optimize store productivity.
- Monitor inventory levels through effective stock management and ordering processes to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Utilize POS systems to process transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining cash register accuracy.
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles within the retail industry with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and inventory management.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with excellent managerial communication and team management skills.
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling procedures, merchandising techniques, and operational management.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations related to retail sales, pricing, budgeting, and inventory control confidently.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are preferred to enhance communication with diverse customer bases.
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of retail product lines and store operations including stocking, merchandising, sales management, and customer service standards.
