Assistant Manager

About This Role

This Assistant Manager role at Jersey Mike's Subs involves overseeing daily operations, leading a team, and ensuring exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

• Maintain a restaurant that is noticeably cleaner than others
• Work in a fast-paced, team-driven atmosphere
• Multitask and work with a sense of urgency
• Interface with customers and provide an exceptional experience
• Understand accountability and integrity
• Act as a key holder
• Perform all tasks related to opening and closing of store
• Bake bread and perform all prep
• Manage and lead a crew of 3 to 7 people
• Be proficient in slicing
• Create employee schedules
• Place inventory orders
• Fill in for the Manager in all capacities when needed
• Assist in employee training
• Lead by example
• Participate in management team meetings and strategy sessions

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent
• Must be 18 years or older to operate the slicer
• Serve Safe Certification - Food Handler
• Reliable transportation
• Excellent menu and product knowledge
• Be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Desire to improve self and skill sets
• Communicate effectively with guests
• Participate in all Jersey Mike's training programs
• Ability to meet schedule requirements and be a reliable performer

Nice to have:

• 1 year of QSR experience
