Duties
The AIGM serves as the highest level of authority on OIG management and administrative matters and works extensively with the IG and DIG to integrate goals-based decision making into the allocation of OIG resources through multi-year and annual planning, and the annual budget process.
The AIGM represents the OIG on management and administrative matters with Congress, the Office of Personnel Management, the Office of Management and Budget, the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency, the Environmental Protection Agency and other external stakeholders.
As AIGM you are responsible for leading a diverse organization that provides day-to-day services and management oversight for a broad range of OIG mission support functions including:
- budget policy, planning, execution and management;
- human capital management to include recruitment, staffing and training;
- information technology management including planning, coordinating, designing, developing, implementing and maintaining OIG automated information systems, database management and IT security, which includes overseeing the development, management and oversight of IT security policies and procedures and protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of OIG computer systems and information;
- acquisition programs to acquire goods and services; and
- facilities and space management for 13 locations nationwide to include emergency management.
Qualifications
ES-0340 series: The work of this position requires executive level management and oversight ensuring that responsible programs are carried out in accordance with goals and objectives and comply with legislative requirements and Federal policies related to program integrity, privacy, security, records and financial stewardship.

TQ1. Demonstrated experience managing and providing leadership over assignments in at least two of the following areas: financial management, strategic planning, information technology, human resources management, equal employment opportunity (EEO).
TQ2. Senior-level experience managing an organization's corporate culture that (a) embraces customer service as an overarching competency; (b) empowers personnel to their full potential; and (c) successfully manages the impact of organizational and external changes to achieve strategic goals.
