Assistant Director of Sales

About This Role

This Assistant Director of Sales role involves supporting the hotel's sales strategy and delivering memorable experiences for guests. You will drive sales within a key market segment and contribute to the hotel's annual commercial strategy.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales within a designated vertical market, applying expert sales skills to qualify leads, conduct outreach, deliver compelling proposals, and close business to meet revenue goals
• Contribute to the hotel’s annual commercial strategy, aligning sales activities with business objectives, and collaborating with the broader commercial team to optimize performance
• Represent the hotel at tradeshows, client events, and sales calls; maintain a robust pipeline and develop plans to secure short- and long-term business
• Build strong relationships with clients, Hilton Worldwide Sales, Convention and Visitors Bureaus, and intermediaries; lead site inspections and ensure personalized, value-driven client experiences
• Align day-to-day team activities with strategic goals by reinforcing business processes that drive revenue across Rooms, Catering, and Events
• Monitor business metrics, analyze the competitive landscape, and adjust tactics to meet evolving customer needs and market dynamics
• Recruit, train, supervise, and mentor team members; conduct performance evaluations, provide professional development opportunities, and recognize achievements to build, engage and retain an engaged and high performing team
