Education and Experience:

• Bachelors Degree
• Two years experience utilizing the T-TESS teacher appraisal process and/or comparable systems with fidelity
• Two years experience as a campus administrator
• Experience designing and delivering quality professional development with diverse audiences

Certification:

• Valid Texas Teaching Certificate by the State Board of Education
• Certified Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) appraiser

Primary Purpose Summary:
Provide T-TESS training and support for administrators and teachers to include: T-TESS new teacher orientation, calibration appraisal training sessions to improve teacher effectiveness and promote professional growth, Student Growth Measure/SLO implementation and support the District’s Teacher Incentive Allotment initiative (TIA).

Essential Requirements and Responsibilities:

1. Provides support to administrators with the Eduphoria appraisal system, interpreting/analyzing reports, and student growth goals.
2. Serves as one of the Eduphoria evaluation administrators in the department and provides training and support to staff who utilize the web-based evaluation tool.
3. Provides on-site coaching and support to T-TESS appraisers and teachers through calibration trainings to ensure fidelity and consistency in the overall appraisal process.
4. Collaborates with the Professional Learning team to ensure the appraisal rubrics and programs support district initiatives and ensure training meets standards.
5. Conducts T-TESS trainings for all newly hired teachers throughout the year.
6. Supports teachers and administrators on collective understanding of student growth measures/student learning objectives.
7. Participates in the ongoing collaboration between the department and the established TIA task force committee.
8. Maintains the professional development school choice hours program for the district in Eduphoria to include communication with teachers and administrators.
9. Supports the facilitation of the new employee orientation, student teacher orientation and reception(s), Paraprofessional of the Year, Teacher of the Year, Trinity Prize for Excellence in Teaching and the North East Retirement Reception.
10. Supports the Director of Human Resources with additional job-related programs or projects to include Service Awards, collaboration with Universities and Campus Administration regarding placement of student teachers, practicum placements, and other strategic staffing initiatives.
11. Maintains confidentiality of information.
12. Reports to work on time every day.
13. Performs additional duties and accepts other responsibilities as may be assigned.

Qualification Requirements:

• Demonstrated knowledge of research-based instructional practices
• Maintains a working knowledge of current Federal, State and local requirements and trends in professional development; communicates directives to District and campus personnel
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style
• Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
• Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
• Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
• Valid Texas Driver's License with driving record that meets the requirements of the District

Physical Demands:
The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, night vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is occasionally required to drive personal vehicle in the performance of assigned tasks.

Work Environment:
The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
