About the role

Responsibilities

Coordinates administrative and/or operational functions of an organizational unit under the supervision of a manager or director. May supervise and/or provide guidance to employees or be responsible for the management of programs, initiatives or events.

  • Assists in the interpretation of NCAA rules and in developing policies and procedures to remain in compliance with those rules.
  • Assists with the monitoring of athletics personnel, student-athlete amateurism, recruiting process, student-athlete awards, and playing and practice seasons to ensure compliance with University, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Assists in planning and implementing education and training of a comprehensive rules education program for coaches, other athletic staff, and athletes to ensure compliance with University, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Assists with the processing and monitoring of student athlete eligibility and financial aid, and intervention and counseling for maintaining eligibility status and student athlete financial aid, ensuring University and student athlete compliance with conference and NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Assists with the processing, recording, and monitoring of recruiting forms, playing and practice season records, and phone call logs.
  • Performs tasks and duties as assigned by the Assistant AD, Compliance, and the Senior Associate AD, Compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of relevant Division 1 experience, which may include full-time/part-time work as former Division I student-athletes, athletics internships, graduate assistantships, coaching roles, or any other comparable experiences within NCAA athletics.

Must be able to comply with all Department, University, Board of Trustees, Athletic Conference, and NCAA policies and procedures.

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Ability to utilize NCAA recruiting software and other components.
  • Knowledge of Title IX and gender equity regulations.
