Assistant Controller

Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Controller, this individual will play a critical role in overseeing the monthly close process, maintaining accurate financial reporting, supporting technical accounting matters, and helping manage day-to-day accounting operations.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants broad exposure across financial reporting, consolidations, process improvement, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the monthly and quarterly close process.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reporting packages.
• Assist with consolidations and multi-entity reporting.
• Assist with acquisition integration activities and related accounting requirements.
• Support external audit requests and maintain strong internal controls.
• Participate in lender and compliance reporting as needed
• Oversee and improve core accounting processes, including AP, payroll, and billing functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience managing the month-end close process.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with account reconciliations, accruals, fixed assets, and multi-entity environments.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
