- About the Opportunity:
The Assistant Buyer supports procurement and inventory management within the distribution services team. This role is essential in maintaining supplier relationships, managing purchase orders, and ensuring timely replenishment of inventory. The position contributes to operational efficiency and supports buyers in achieving inventory objectives.
- Responsibilities:
• Support procurement activities with selected suppliers.
• Manage inventory reporting and update item statuses.
• Execute transactions such as transfers, order edits, and special orders.
• Perform inventory management tasks under buyer mentorship.
• Maintain open purchase order statuses by tracking and updating information.
• Recommend improvements for replenishment processes.
• Resolve issues independently.
• Mentor and train other employees.
• Assist with product returns to manage overstock inventory.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
- Requirements:
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Good decision-making and analytical abilities.
• Leadership qualities and ability to train others effectively.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient typing and 10-key skills.
• Minimal travel may be required.
• Broad training in business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences, or similar fields through a bachelor''s degree or equivalent experience.
- Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• Salary Range: $48,200 - $96,360 annually, reflecting a national average and subject to regional adjustments.
