Assembler (Medical Device)

About This Role

This assembler role focuses on building medical devices, following detailed work instructions, and ensuring quality through self-inspection. The position involves collecting materials, setting up workstations, and assisting other manufacturing staff as needed. It suits a candidate who can thrive in a highly regulated, compliance-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Read work instructions and verify they match the assignment
• Learn new work instructions as required
• Collect required materials from bins
• Set up workstations per work instruction
• Assemble parts and inspect own work as instructed
• Complete required training in a timely manner
• Assist other manufacturing staff with their duties as requested
• Assist with other projects as requested by a member of management
• Perform equipment maintenance and calibration as required in work instructions
• Verify work instructions match assignment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One to three months related experience and/or training
• Ability to read and understand Device/Work instructions
• Ability to understand verbal work instructions
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on a repeated basis
• Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)/color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors; depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships)
• Able to succeed in highly regulated compliance-oriented environment while still providing service excellence
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's; ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurements, volume and distance
• Ability to carry out tasks through detailed written or oral instructions; basic computer skills
• Soldering skills required
• Ability to read/write/communicate in English language

• Duration: 6-12 months
• Schedule: 1st Shift (6am to 3:30pm) or 2nd shift (3pm to 12:30pm)
• Schedule: 9/80 schedule
