Assembler

About This Role

This assembler role involves a variety of functions in the assembly of company products, including parts cleaning, bagging, boxing, assembly, testing, crating, and shipping. Responsibilities

• Gather parts required to assemble
• Inspect parts for paint quality
• Assemble products, using hand tools and overhead hoists
• Test or assist in testing operation of completed product
• Crate products
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to read and comprehend both oral and written instructions
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and use measuring devices
• Physical dexterity to assemble parts
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
• Own basic assembly tools to complete defined tasks
• Good attendance
• Weekend availability
• High school diploma or GED is highly recommended
• 0-1 years of experience in an assembly work environment or related field
• Effectively work with minimum supervision after training
• Demonstrate willingness to work in a team environment
• Effectively meet production goals within established time guidelines
• Operation of machinery and tools requires the use of safety equipment including, but not limited to, steel toe shoes/boots with metatarsal guards permanently attached, hearing protection, gloves, and safety glasses
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move 25-50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend all day
• Ability to stand; use hands to fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear
• Comfortable with heights
• Pass a drug screen and Physical Capacity Profile test
