Assembler

About This Role

Assembling and wiring electrical or electronic components such as control panels, chassis, circuit boards, and high voltage transformers is the core of this role in the Standard Products Department. This position involves mostly repetitive production standards and suits an applicant with good manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Wire, assemble, and install electrical and electronic components according to Master book specifications with supervision
• Mount assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets on chassis panels
• Fabricate or modify parts, using shop equipment and basic hand tools
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace
• Complete other tasks as necessary

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED certificate (additional experience may be considered in lieu of the required level of education)
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to follow detailed instructions
• Manual dexterity
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks
• Ability to collaborate with other team members
• Detail oriented
• Capable of lifting 30 pounds
• Must use assistance when lifting 50 or more pounds
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States

Nice to have:

• Soldering experience
• Wiring experience
• Ability to read a schematic

• Physical requirements: often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with co-workers and customers
