Assembler

About This Role

This assembler role involves performing various wiring tasks within the Electrical Assembly department, focusing on the assembly, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems and components. The position suits a detail-oriented individual who can interpret electrical schematics and blueprints and adhere to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Use hand tools (e.g., crimpers, strippers, torquing tools, calibrating tools) to perform tasks
• Run and bundle wires according to Powell wiring standards
• Layout, install, drill, and tap devices onto doors and back pans
• Install name plates and space heaters
• Install and terminate CTs
• Operate continuity buzzers
• Terminate and run wire for MCC, SWGR, and harnesses according to wire diagram
• Promote a safety culture and attend all safety meetings
• Ensure that work areas remain clean and well organized
• Perform in-process inspections

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Equivalent Diploma is preferred
• Ability to read and understand point-to-point wiring diagrams
• Ability to read and use a tape measure
• Basic command of the English language, both written and verbal
• Safely use a variety of hand/power tools
• Lift up to 50lbs using proper lifting techniques
• Positive attitude
• Willingness to learn
• Ability to follow direction from Senior Assemblers and Lead Assemblers
• Effectively demonstrate on-time delivery and the ability to stay focused on goals and responsibilities
• Self-starter with ability to take on multiple tasks with a drive to succeed

• Ability to adapt to new ideas, technology, processes, or product changes
