About This Role
This independent contractor position is for dependable medical courier drivers to handle ASAP on-demand medical deliveries. The role involves safely transporting time-sensitive medical deliveries, following assigned routes, maintaining confidentiality, communicating with dispatch, and providing professional, on-time service.
Responsibilities
- Pick up, transport, and deliver small parcels according to assigned routes and schedules
- Load and unload packages safely and accurately to prevent damage
- Verify package information before delivery
- Complete assigned delivery routes efficiently and on time
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
- Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times
- Inspect and maintain delivery vehicle cleanliness and basic operational condition
- Demonstrate professionalism at all times
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation using GPS and route planning tools
- Maintain customer and company confidentiality at all times
- Communicate with company dispatch regarding any delays, route changes, or delivery issues
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with proof of insurance
- Clean driving record (MVR)
- Ability to pass a background check
- Reliable, clean, insured vehicle appropriate for deliveries
- Smartphone with reliable data service
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds or more
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet delivery deadlines
- Dependable, punctual with good attendance
- Be able to speak, write, and understand English
- Must get Occupational Insurance via JAAAB’s referral program

- Work may include exposure to: Heat, Cold, Snow, Rain, Heavy Traffic or Construction Zone
Physical Requirements
- Lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds or more
- Bend, kneel, squat, and reach frequently
- Enter and exit vehicles repeatedly throughout the day
- Walk up and down stairs
- Drive, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions
