Area Sales Manager

About This Role

This sales manager role focuses on the Greater Toronto Area, managing existing accounts, acquiring new customers, and serving as a trusted consultant. The position helps clients buy and sell primarily used construction and industrial equipment through bidadoo's platform and services. It involves building long-term customer relationships and growing revenues in the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute an ongoing strategic plan and process to effectively develop and manage your assigned territory, driving growth and profitability
• Build comprehensive knowledge of new and used equipment products utilized in construction, rental, transportation, agriculture, material handling, etc.
• Establish relationships with key decision makers and influencers within your area of responsibility and among team members supporting bidadoo's customers
• Generate leads for both buyers and sellers and fill your area's funnel with items for weekly auctions, marketplace, and other sales channels
• Consult with customers on the valuation and sales estimates of machinery and equipment
• Drive revenue through fees associated with professional auction, remarketing, and consignment services
• Develop and deliver superior proposals and presentations showing business value to customers and prospects
• Build buyer and seller value via auction day contact campaigns to drive buyer activities, develop relationships with buyer pool, and deliver bidadoo pride
• Utilize the tools, CRM, and resources to document and communicate with all stakeholders
• Own and manage the customer transaction and relationship from beginning to end, building a solid portfolio of repeat business
• Communicate with and provide a great customer experience for our customers, supporting the bidadoo values and brand promise
• Demonstrate bidadoo pride in everything you do

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of proven sales experience, including outside/field sales
• Proven revenue attainment record through proactive lead generation and consultative selling techniques
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent business presentation skills
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and applications
• Background in new and used equipment sales, equipment rental, business valuation and appraisal consulting, or equipment auctions is helpful
• Familiarity and experience with internet technologies and sales desired
