Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Architectural Job Captain to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead the production of construction documents, coordinate consultants, and support project architects and project managers from design through construction. This is a fully remote position, open to applicants residing and authorized to work in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and coordination of construction documents and technical drawings
- Collaborate closely with Project Architects and Project Managers to ensure design intent is maintained
- Coordinate consultant documentation, including structural, MEP, and specialty disciplines
- Manage QA/QC processes to ensure drawing consistency and code compliance
- Communicate proactively with team members across remote locations
- Support construction administration as needed (RFIs, submittals, addenda)
Qualifications
- Professional degree in architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch)
- Minimum 5–8 years of professional experience in architecture, with demonstrated experience as Job Captain
- Proficient in Revit; knowledge of AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and other industry tools preferred
- Strong knowledge of construction detailing, building systems, and code compliance
- Excellent organizational, communication, and coordination skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating effectively with a virtual team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with healthcare, institutional, or complex commercial projects
- Licensure is a plus but not required
