Architectural Drafter

About the Role

We are looking for a talented Architectural Designer with 3–5 years of professional experience to join our growing team. This role requires a balance of design creativity, technical proficiency, and project coordination skills. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and ready to take ownership of design tasks while working closely with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts and carry them through schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and the permitting process.
• Produce and coordinate detailed drawings, specifications, and presentations.
• Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and clients throughout project phases.
• Ensure designs comply with building codes, zoning requirements, and accessibility standards.
• Manage multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, with a flexible mindset, adaptability to changing situations, and a creative approach to challenges.
• Willingness and ability to grow into a leadership role by managing and mentoring 1–2 interns or junior designers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in custom residential design.
• Strong proficiency in BIM and 3D modeling software (Revit, ArchiCAD, Rhino, SketchUp, Lumion, Adobe Suite, etc.).
• Solid understanding of construction documentation and detailing.
• Knowledge of building codes and permitting processes in the Greater Sacramento area.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
