Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Architectural Draftsman with strong AutoCAD expertise to support U.S. residential home-builder projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate residential construction drawings, incorporating client markups, and delivering high-quality production and permit drawing sets within defined project timelines.

The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of residential construction methods, architectural detailing, U.S. building practices, and production housing workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and modify residential architectural and construction drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Develop:
    • Floor plans
    • Site plans
    • Roof plans
    • Foundation plans
    • Framing plans
    • Exterior elevations
    • Building sections
    • Construction details
  • Prepare complete permit and construction drawing sets in accordance with client standards.
  • Create detailed drawings and other project documentation required for production.
  • Review redline markups received from clients, architects, project coordinators, and quality teams.
  • Accurately incorporate drawing revisions, design options, and elevation changes.
  • Coordinate with Project Delivery Heads, Project Managers, Team Leads, and Quality teams to resolve drawing-related discrepancies.

  • Maintain drawing accuracy, consistency, and completeness throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct self-quality checks before submission to reduce errors and revisions.
  • Maintain proper project documentation, file organisation, naming conventions, and version control.
  • Support project coordination and communication with internal teams and clients, wherever required.
  • Complete assigned deliverables within project deadlines while maintaining the required quality standards.

    Qualification

    • Diploma in Civil Engineering or Architecture; or
    • B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognised institution.
    • Relevant architectural drafting certification will be an added advantage.

    The requisition identifies Civil as the preferred stream and indicates Diploma/B.Tech-level qualifications, while the position description also permits a Diploma in Civil Engineering or Architecture.

    Experience Requirements

    • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in residential architectural drafting.
    • Preferred experience: approximately 3 years.
    • Candidates with up to 5 years of experience may be considered.
    • Experience in U.S. residential or home-builder projects will be highly preferred.
