About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established Los Angeles architecture firm with a specialized focus in religious and faith-based institutional design — including houses of worship, community centers, and campus facilities. They are seeking a skilled Architectural Drafter to join the studio on a 3-month contract with the clear intent to convert the right person to a full-time permanent role.

Responsibilities

• Producing construction documents, working drawings, and technical details for religious and faith institution projects from schematic design through permit and construction
• Building and maintaining accurate Revit models throughout all project phases in accordance with firm BIM standards
• Coordinating with project architects and senior staff to incorporate design changes, redlines, and consultant coordination into drawing sets accurately and on schedule
• Preparing permit and entitlement drawing packages for submittal to the City of Los Angeles and surrounding jurisdictions
• Maintaining organized project files, drawing logs, and version control across multiple active projects

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of drafting experience in an architecture firm — institutional, religious, civic, or community project experience strongly preferred
• Degree or certificate in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related field preferred — equivalent experience considered

Required Skills

• Revit required; comfort with Adobe Creative Suite helpful for presentation work
• Solid understanding of construction documents, building materials, and detailing standards for mid-to-large scale institutional projects
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple drawing sets across active projects without compromising quality or deadlines
• Must be based in Los Angeles and able to work on-site — no remote or hybrid option for this role
