Architectural Designer

About This Role

This Architectural Designer role involves working closely with project Architects to create 3-D Revit models and produce construction documents for buildings. The designer also coordinates with engineers and designers from other disciplines to ensure project designs are cohesive.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage project drafting of all scales
• Assist Architectural Manager and other experienced architects on day-to-day tasks
• Work with all design team disciplines daily
• Provide drafting direction and support to ensure consistent and high-quality designs firm-wide
• Utilize creative insight and practical solutions
• Research code requirements necessary for each design
• Assist with the preparation of design presentations for the client
• Develop and coordinate project documents from schematic design through construction administration
• Meet established project budgets and schedules
• Mentor and develop architectural designers

Requirements

• Associate degree in an architectural-related technology program
• Minimum of 10 years of experience
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketchup, and other visualization tools
• Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills
• Sensitive to the need to change personal behavior quickly in order to effectively communicate and coordinate with others
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
• Effective at handling multiple tasks
• Able to learn quickly on the fly and adapt to changes
• Reliable to meet schedules even when faced with difficult circumstances
