About This Role
Joining the design team as an Architectural Designer, you will translate client visions into compelling architectural solutions, combining creative design with technical expertise. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to develop comprehensive construction drawings and models that adhere to building codes and sustainability standards. Responsibilities
- Develop conceptual and detailed architectural designs using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, and Rhino 3D
- Create accurate construction documentation, including construction drawings, details, and specifications that comply with building code regulations and accessibility standards
- Utilize 3D modeling tools like 3ds Max, Grasshopper 3D, and SketchUp to produce realistic renderings and visualizations for client presentations
- Conduct building code analysis and ensure project designs meet all regulatory compliance requirements for construction accessibility and safety
- Collaborate on project scheduling, budgeting, and construction estimating to ensure timely delivery within scope
- Manage project workflows using building information modeling (BIM) tools such as Revit to facilitate coordination across disciplines
- Support business development efforts by preparing compelling presentations, proposals, and engaging in client negotiations
- Assist in construction management activities including reviewing construction detail documentation, monitoring progress, and ensuring quality control during renovation or new build projects
Requirements
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit), BIM tools (NavisWorks), and 3D modeling applications (3ds Max, Rhino 3D, Grasshopper 3D)
- Strong understanding of construction regulations, building codes, accessibility standards, and sustainable design principles
- Excellent graphic design skills utilizing Adobe Creative Suite for presentations and visualizations
- Experience with construction estimating, budgeting, project scheduling, and contract management
- Effective negotiation skills for client interactions and vendor collaborations
- Ability to produce detailed construction drawings and construction documentation with precision
- Knowledge of interior design principles relevant to architectural projects
- Demonstrated experience in project management from concept through completion in a fast-paced environment
