About This Role
Working as part of a team, the Arborist undertakes a wide range of arboriculture and tree maintenance tasks, including felling, pruning, lifting, reducing, and planting trees. This role requires working at heights and adhering to industry safety standards to ensure the well-being of colleagues and the public.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a team to undertake a wide range of arboriculture and tree maintenance tasks and duties
- Fell, prune, lift, reduce, and plant trees
- Climb trees and work at heights
- Work safely and in accordance with safe working practices
- Ensure all plant and machinery is used effectively
- Work to industry standards
- Ensure all steps are followed to ensure the safety of work colleagues and members of the public
Requirements
- Previous experience in tree cutting, forestry or arboriculture; similar capacity experience is also considered
- Relevant NPTC certificate units for the use of chainsaws:
- Ground based chainsaw operations
- Tree climbing and aerial rescue
- Aerial cutting of trees with a chainsaw using free-fall techniques
- Felling and processing trees over 380mm (QCF)
- Severing uprooted or windblown trees using a chainsaw
- Arboriculture dismantling techniques
- Enthusiasm and drive with a flexible approach to work
- Ability to adapt to changing business and project priorities
- Embed in the company's safety culture and adhere to guidelines
- Satisfactory basic disclosure check

Important Details
- Contract: permanent and temporary
- Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday exclusive of lunch breaks
