Apprentice Electrician

About This Role

This apprenticeship offers hands-on experience in industrial electrical systems, battery energy storage technology, high-voltage infrastructure, and renewable energy projects at the Collie Battery Energy Storage System (CBESS) facility. The role is for a reliable, hardworking individual with strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to workplace health and safety, eager to learn from experienced tradespeople and build a long-term career in the renewable energy and power generation industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the maintenance and servicing of wind turbines and associated electrical equipment
• Support fault-finding and troubleshooting activities
• Ensure compliance with SPIE’s HSE standards and procedures
• Participate in on-the-job training and formal apprenticeship studies

Requirements

• Strong interest in electrical trades and renewable energy
• Good problem-solving and communication skills
• Commitment to workplace health and safety
• Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions
• Current driver's licence
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
