We're seeking an experienced Application Engineer to design and develop building automation and HVAC controls solutions for commercial construction projects. Responsibilities
- Design building automation and HVAC controls systems from project plans and specifications.
- Develop controls submittals, bills of material, programming requirements, and system layouts.
- Program DDC controllers and building automation systems for new construction and retrofit projects.
- Create building automation network architectures using industry-standard communication protocols.
- Review project documentation and participate in project turnover meetings.
- Generate startup and commissioning documentation for field teams.
- Provide technical support to internal teams and customers.
- Perform occasional job site visits to support project execution and commissioning.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in building automation, HVAC controls, application engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and building automation controls.
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and controls design or estimating software.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with BACnet, Niagara, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Distech, Tridium, or similar platforms is preferred.
- Engineering degree or related technical education is a plus.
