About This Role
This Appliance Repair Technician role involves diagnosing, repairing, and installing a wide range of household appliances. The role suits a dynamic and skilled technician who excels in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, ensuring seamless service and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose appliance issues using schematics, electrical diagrams, and troubleshooting techniques to identify root causes efficiently
- Repair or replace faulty components on appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, and HVAC units
- Install new appliances and ensure proper setup, including electrical connections, plumbing, and mechanical assembly
- Use hand tools, power tools, ladder use, and equipment repair techniques to perform maintenance tasks accurately and safely
- Read and interpret technical manuals and schematics to guide repairs and installations with precision
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly, answering questions professionally, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Operate company vehicles responsibly for field service calls, deliveries, and pickups while adhering to safety protocols
Requirements
- Proven experience with appliance repair, service technician roles or related field service positions
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience; familiarity with refrigeration systems is a plus
- Ability to read schematics and use ladder logic for troubleshooting complex equipment issues
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, plumbing techniques, HVAC systems, and electrical work
- Experience with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO), equipment troubleshooting, assembly, and equipment repair tasks
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles; delivery driver experience is advantageous
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy appliances safely, and perform manual tasks in various environments
