About the role
Looking for an Apigee developer with 6+years experience to design, build implement, and maintain secure, scalable APIs using the Apigee platform (Edge/X) to connect applications and systems, managing proxies, policies, and developer portals, while ensuring performance, security (OAuth, JWT), and CI/CD integration for digital transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- API Development: Create and configure API proxies, shared flows, and custom policies (JS, Python, Java).
- API Management: Implement API products, security (OAuth, JWT, API Keys), rate limiting, and caching.
- Integration: Connect Apigee with various backend services (REST, SOAP, GraphQL).
- Platform Management: Deploy, upgrade, and maintain Apigee (Hybrid/X) infrastructure and components.
- Monitoring & Support: Troubleshoot issues, monitor performance, and provide L2/L3 support.
- Documentation: Create API specs, designs, and user guides.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams (architects, business stakeholders, developers).
- Automation: Develop CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git) for automated deployments and upgrades.
Essential Skills:
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
- Experience with Apigee Edge/X/Hybrid.
- Knowledge of security protocols (OAuth, JWT).
- Scripting (JavaScript, Python) and programming.
- CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git).
- Testing tools (Postman, Splunk).
