API Application Developer

About This Role

Developing, testing, deploying, and sustaining Python-based ReST endpoints, microservices, and data model management capabilities is the core of this role. The Application Engineer will utilize Django and Flask frameworks to interact with data models stored in MariaDB or MongoDB and send data, in JSON format, to UI front ends upon request. This developer will provide middleware and backend support to all system applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide the development, test, deploy, and sustainment of various Python-based ReST endpoints, microservices, and data model management capabilities utilizing Django and Flask frameworks
• Interact with data models stored in MariaDB or MongoDB and send data upon request, in JSON format, to UI front ends
• Provide middleware and backend support to all system applications

Requirements

• Active and current TS.SCI with FSP through MD
• 8 years of experience
• Python
• Docker
• Django or Flask
• Database experience using MongoDB or MariaDB
• ReST endpoint development
• Microservice model

Nice to have:

• AWS or other cloud experience
• JSON and/or XML serialization
• Jira
• Confluence
• Git version control

Education

• Twelve (12) years minimum experience and a High School Diploma/GED
• Ten (10) years minimum experience and an Associate's Degree
• Eight (8) years minimum experience and a Bachelor's Degree
• Six (6) years minimum experience and a Master's Degree
• Four (4) years minimum experience and a Doctorate's Degree
